Do I need to plug in a hybrid?
A standard (self-charging) hybrid never needs plugging in — it recharges as you drive and brake. A plug-in hybrid can be charged for a longer electric-only range, but still runs on fuel when needed, so you're never stranded.
Will a hybrid really save me fuel?
Hybrids shine in stop-start city traffic, where the electric motor does much of the work. Around Los Angeles that can mean a noticeable drop in fuel use compared with a conventional petrol car.
Is a hybrid or a full EV better for me?
